Dave Torres began his guiding career in the early 90’s. Working for “Rizuto’s” and “Born N’ Raised” guide services, Dave quickly gained the title of “Super Dave” as he was the most-requested guide. Dave’s passion for fly fishing is reflected through his teaching style and ability to put fish in the net. With over 3 decades of guiding experience, you are sure to have a great day on the water with him.
Kyle Macullum
Guide
Kyle grew up fly fishing with his dad on the Arkansas, South Platte, and high mountain lakes and creeks in Colorado. He moved to New Mexico almost two decades ago and has fished the San Juan almost every free day since. Kyle lives only minutes from the river. Knowledgeable, teacher, patient, and kind are just a few of the many positive adjectives our customers have used to describe "Mr. Nice Guide
Jack Maestas
Guide
Jack is the owner and operator of Fishing Jack Guide Service. Born and raised in Albuquerque New Mexico, he quickly fell in love with the outdoors — specifically fly fishing. Home to one of the greatest tailwaters in the nation, Jack started FJGS in northern New Mexico with the intention of teaching others his same passion. With thousands of hours spent fishing and guiding the San Juan, you’re sure to have a fantastic day on the water with Jack.

As a lifelong learner, I understand that adopting a new skill can be both exciting and challenging. That's why I'm committed to supporting you every step of the way. I have 12 years experience on the San Juan as a guide. I have personally completed over 1,100 trips on the San Juan River, (wade and float trips). Jacob Deifenbaugh

Jacob Deifenbaugh has been a full-time guide on the San Juan for nearly a decade. Most of those years began at Abe’s Fly Shop and Fisheads before he eventually branched off independently. Jacob enjoys teaching an assortment of fishing styles that are complimentary to the fishing conditions — ensuring a fun day on the water.
Levon Gomez
Guide
Levon Gomez began his guiding career on the San Juan River. Many enjoy the versatility that he incorporates into his guiding which includes streamer fishing or dry flies for picky fish. Levon is known for fostering a welcoming environment for all experience levels — promising a day of smiles and fun.
